Mary B. Matterer is a partner in Morris James' Intellectual Property Group with a concentration in litigating intellectual property rights. She has appeared in patent litigation encompassing technology from a wide variety of technologies, including the telecommunications, software, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, automobile and healthcare industries. 
 
Ms. Matterer also focuses on complex insurance coverage litigation in addition to other commercial dispute resolution.  She co-authored The Answer to: Complex Insurance Coverage Litigation in the State of Delaware.

Richard K. Herrmann is a partner in Morris James' Intellectual Property Group.  His practice includes many forms of complex litigation, including commercial, technology and intellectual property.

Mr. Herrmann has published numerous books and articles relating to the law and technology.  His works appear monthly in the Delaware State Bar Association's magazine.    He teaches Electronic Discovery and technology related courses at William & Mary Law School, Widener University School of Law, and the National Judicial College.  Mr. Herrmann is the Director of Widener's Technology and Law Center.  He chairs the Corporate Counsel Technology Institute at Widener and is the Senior Technology Law Advisor to William and Mary.  Mr. Herrmann co-chairs the United States District Court's technology committee and is a member of the District Court's Advisory Committee.  He chairs the Delaware State Bar Association's Technology Committee and is former chair of that association's Computer Law Section.

Counsel

Kenneth L. Dorsney, a registered patent attorney, maintains an active practice as local Delaware counsel and represents corporate clients and the interests of outside counsel in a wide variety of complex commercial matters, including patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright litigation, mediation, and dispute resolution in the District of Delaware. 
 
A frequent speaker on patent law, Ken has spoken at numerous seminars and law schools on the topic and regularly hosts patent law roundtables in Delaware in conjunction with the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association.  He is an active committee member in several associations across the country focused on the practice of intellectual property law and litigation and current Chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Delaware State Bar Association.  In addition, he is Chair of the Website Subcommittee for the ABA-IP Section 112 Committee, Chair of the Program Subcommittee for the IP Transactions Committee of the ABA Business Law Section, and one of two Delegates from Delaware for the U.S. Bar/JPO Liaison Council.  Mr. Dorsney is admitted to practice in Delaware, the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
